Genesis 18:14

Is anything too hard for the Lord?

This is what the Lord said to Abraham when Abraham questioned, and Sarah laughed, after the Lord told him that he and Sarah (who were way past childbearing age) would have a son a year from then. It made me think about all the things I may question the Lord about regarding my life as a believer; in my personal life, my job and as a US citizen. I think I need to end all my wonderings, meanderings and meditations with this question. It turns my focus back on the Lord, the one in whom I should trust and believe; to dwell on “whatsoever things are true.”  It brings to mind these verses:

Jer. 32:27 “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me.”

Jer. 33:3 “Call to Me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.”

2 Chron. 16:9 “For the eyes of the LORD run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show Himself strong on behalf of those whose heart is loyal to Him.”

Oh, it establishes hope in my soul!

Ah Lord God
Ah Lord God
Thou hast made the Heaven
And the earth by Thy great Power
Ah Lord God
Thou hast made the Heaven
And the earth by Thy great Power

Nothing is too difficult for Thee
Nothing is too difficult for Thee
Great and mighty God
Great in counsel and might in deed
Nothing nothing absolutely nothing
Nothing is too difficult for Thee
