Ephesians 1:3

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ..."

As God’s children we are a blessed people. We have incredible value to the Father. That value may never be fully understood this side of heaven. A value that caused the Father to send His Son to die in our place for our sin to provide us eternal salvation. Often we discount our worth, falling prey to unbiblical thinking that causes us to seek our value in the wrong places…jobs, social status, houses, family and the things we own. As Christians, if we are looking for our identity in the wrong places, we will not experience God’s fullness in our lives.

Read Ephesians 1 and note our worth and value to God. Spiritual growth is realized only as we appropriate biblical truths. For that reason we look to God’s Word and find what it teaches concerning our identity in Christ. This is our true value, to which we tie our worth.
