21 Days of Prayer for the Lost: Day 5

Tell Your Story
Mark 5:19 – “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” (ESV)
In this passage, a demon-possessed man confronts Jesus, knowing very well who He is. See verse 7 – “Jesus, Son of the Most High God.” Once the man is healed, Jesus tells him to go home to his friends and tell them his story.
How many of us really know our story and can articulate it - the story of how Jesus has transformed us into the person we are today? I found it hard as well until I created a “My Life Focus” timeline. I first started by writing down everything that has happened in my life from birth to present. Wow, the things you can remember and now can reflect on. Enjoy the process.
Know your story. Everyone has one. Write it down.
Everyone knows the verse Mark 16:15, where Jesus commands us to: "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” This command is often called the Great Commission. It’s so important to share the gospel and see the power of the Holy Spirit work. One of the easiest ways to share the gospel is to tell your story.
Spread the Word. For some reason the Holy Spirit has brought Psalm 118:24 to mind, which reads, "This is the day that the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
This is the day to start sharing. Go for it. It is not all about you. It’s about Jesus Christ our Savior. You are just required to share your story. The Holy Spirit does all the work. To quote Pastor Jim, “I’m not the Holy Spirit. I’m too short to be.” What do you have to lose?
Who are you thinking of sharing the gospel message (Your Story) with? Write down their name. Build a relationship. And pray for the opportunity to share.
